murmurings of a river mouth | 2020 - 2022

A selection of drawings undertaken at Arthur River on the West Coast of lutruwita / Tasmania as part of an Arts Tasmania residency in 2020 / 2021.

walking contested ground | 2014 - 2018

 'Walking Contested Ground' was the result of my PhD undertaken at the School of Creative Arts and Media, University of Tasmania, Hobart.

Drawing the Step. Left hand for right foot, right hand for left foot: One mark for every step. Seven daily walks in Rosendale, NY, USA 2012
Artist book: letterpress, hard-ground etching on Rives Heavy-weight paper and sound track. 38 x 16 x 320cm
This work was made in collaboration with Women's Studio Workshop in 2012 with the support of an artist book fellowship.

vestiges | 2011 - 2012

Vestiges emerged following a residency at Women's Studio Workshop in Rosendale in upstate New York, USA. Walking daily in the post-industrial cement mine site, I began to see how the land was slowly reintegrating the cuts and cavernous holes drilled deep into its core. 

river | 2009 - 2011

A series of works that explore the bodies of water in the Murray Darling Basin river system, including the Shoalhaven, Murrumbidgee and Murray rivers. My exploration of river systems grew to include Liffey River in Dublin, Ireland which I interpreted through woodcut during a residency at Black Church Print Studio in 2011.

reading namadgi | 2006 - 2008

A series of works developed between 2006 - 2008 part of a research practice that explored the area south of Canberra known as Namadgi. These works explore the waterbodies and granite rock formations that are chracteristic of the place.
